Weslee Lewis, founder of pure soles, grew up in the Inland Empire, where new shoes were a rare luxury. A hand-me-down pair of Jordan Bred 4’s showed him how sneakers could build confidence and belonging. In 2017, he organized his first shoe giveaway with the Boys & Girls Club of Fontana — an experience that revealed both the need and the joy quality footwear brings youth.

Founded officially in 2020, pure soles has donated over 900 pairs of brand-new sneakers and expanded programs that inspire creativity, self-expression, and community pride. What began as a small initiative is now a trusted nonprofit, using sneakers to empower youth and strengthen communities.
